Over the past few weeks I’ve been picking up some little Valentine’s Day treats and crafting supplies. I’ll be honest, I’m not the biggest fan of Valentine’s Day. I just feel that if you care for someone you should show it throughout the year, not just take one day to focus on it.
With that being said, I did pick up a few things from Walmart and Dollarama for various reasons. I picked up a few things that I thought would be great for my students treat box. I keep a few little things on hand for prizes when we play games or various other activities. I am working in a K-6 setting this year. It is different then what I am use to but definitely a positive experience.
Now let’s get into the haul!
The first two pictures show my little Walmart haul. Walmart has been stepping up their game when it comes to affordable treats and trinkets for little ones. I picked up some cute bendable zipper pulls; one is a dinosaur and one is an adorable puppy. I also picked up a pack of erasers. These are the perfect little treat for my students on Valentine’s Day.
The next picture shows two packs of notepads and stickers. The first is food related with the notebook saying “Don’t go bacon my heart. You’re egg-stra nice” and the most adorable food stickers. The second is of a dinosaur and it says “Without you I’d be history.” Again, this is accompanied by cute little animal stickers. These characters seem to be a theme in the Valentine’s section this year.
Along with these little treats, I also picked up a few things at Dollarama. I got these things over the past month during a few different trips.
First I picked up a few goodies for my students. I have more erasers to go with the ones from Walmart. I figured these may be better for the older kids. I also got some game tablets and stickers. I mean, you can never have enough stickers…. right?
I also picked up some craft supplies. Our Dollarama has been carrying random Martha Stewart Crafts products for a little while now. I was excited to pick up the stamp and ink set, along with the beautiful scrapbooking paper. I am hoping to be able to journal and scrapbook more this year. These will be great to add to this. I also picked up some more stickers. I just couldn’t leave the cute cats and dogs behind. Finally, I picked up some cards. I have package of six cards that I can decorate however I want, along with two store bought cards. The first is the one I have for my boyfriend and the second for a friend.
Well that is all that I haven bought this year! Have you bought any neat things for Valentine’s Day?
