So what a better first post than sharing the wonder that is the Ipsy Glam Bag!
What is the Ipsy Glam Bag?
Each month, subscribers will receive a beautiful Glam Bag with deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. Members can watch and play along with the stylists with the same products that they are using. All for only $10 a month. – Ipsy Website
I have been a fan of this bag for about a year now. Not only do you recieve many full-sized samples and duluxe sized samples suited to what you like (as determined by the ‘about you’ quiz that you take when you sign up), but it all comes in cute little makeup bags. I have found many uses for these over the past year!
Each month the bags come with a theme in mind. This month’s theme was Street Style.
This months bag was a chic metallic silver with studs. This is definitely right up my alley.
The first product I pulled out was the Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask!
This product claims to be a “repairing mask for dry, damaged or chemically-reated hair. According to the container:
Replenish. Restore. Repair.
Don’t Despair, Repair! is fortified with ultra-hydrating avocado, sweet almond & argan oils, power-conditioning rosehip oil, and super hair-essential vitamins. This unique conditioning complex helps increase hair elasticity to prevent breakage and promotes healthy shine.
How To Use: After shampooing, massage Don’t Despair, Repair into the hair. Leave in for 3-5 minutes before rinsing.
I look forward to trying this as I am always on the lookout for new hair products!
Next, we have a Crown Brush for crease/shadow. Now I’ll be honest. I am not some make-up guru or anything so I had to do a bit of research on this product (which meant looking at their website, the Ipsy site, and Youtube videos. Many people were excited to get this brush so it must be something good. I do know that the brushes seem soft and have not been shedding to the touch so far.
The next product is a Cailyn Tinted Lip Gloss in the shade 09 Basic Instinct. This color is great for someone who doesn’t really wear much makeup but likes to experiment. It is more of nude shade. It is not sticky to the touch and does not have an horrible smell when applied (which is a bonus for all makeup). This may be the perfect shade for that hint of color.
Next we have a Pacifica Eyeliner in Fringe. Although I normally don’t wear eyeliner, this is an interesting one to try. I am intrigued by what I have read on the website:
All Pacifica products are gluten-free, 100% vegan, and cruelty-free.

The final product was a NYX Hot Singles Eye Shadow in Asphyxiation, described to be a dark, iridescent blue.
